He then put each passage together in chronological order, combining the material into one story. Laurence then compares Jesus’ words in The Bible with the words of Jesus in The Urantia Book. Laurence Whelan has been searching all his life for the truth. Laurence Whelan is sixty-four years old. He and his wife Donna live in Temple City, California and between them have five children and seven grandchildren. Laurence is retired after 40 years from the Ventura County Fire Department. During his career he rose through the ranks. He served as a Fireman, Fire Engineer, Fire Captain and Fire Battalion Chief. Chief Whelan attended the California State Fire Academy and the National Fire Academy. He received degrees from Ventura College and the Blackstone School of Law.
