About this ebook

When Aurelie Harcourt's father dies in debtor's prison, he leaves her just two things: his wealthy family, whom she has never met, and his famous pen name, Nathaniel Droll. Her new family greets her with apathy and even resentment. Only the quiet houseguest, Silas Rotherham, welcomes her company.

When Aurelie decides to complete her father's unfinished serial novel, writing the family into the story as unflattering characters, she must keep her identity as Nathaniel Droll hidden while searching for the truth about her mother's disappearance--and perhaps even her father's death.

Author Joanna Davidson Politano's stunning debut set in Victorian England will delight readers with its highly original plot, lush setting, vibrant characters, and reluctant romance.

I can't believe this is Ms. Politano's debut story. I was so excited after being selected to read her latest novel Finding Lady Enderly, I had to go back and read others by this excellent writer. This was a wonderful historical love/suspense/mystery story with a regency feel to it. Her characters are very well developed and she does an excellent job describing the Debtors Prison, you almost feel you are walking along side of her. Very enjoyable read. You won't want to put it down.

This is the first book I've read written by the author and oh my!! This historical romance swept me off my feet and transported me into this awe inspiring story. The characters were beautifully written and the world building catapults you into an amazingly twisted plot. This is a must read!!! {I received a copy of this book from JustRead Tours when I signed up to participate in their Blind Date With A Book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions contained herein are unbiased and my own.}

Lady Jayne Disappears by Joanna Davidson Politano is a well-written book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. This is Ms. Politano's first book, but I pray not her last. I was wrapped up in the story and enjoyed her wonderful details. She paints pictures with her words that drew me into the world of Aurelie Harcourt. Aurelie Harcourt has just found her family after the death of her father. She struggles to fit into a society that is much different from the world of the debtors' prison she has lived in all her life. Her only inheritance from her father is his pen name, Nathaniel Droll. She has many interesting relatives and you are left guessing as to how the story will end. Ms. Politano weaves together an amazing historical romance that is well written with intelligent and interesting characters. I highly recommend Lady Jayne Disappears, and I believe that Joanna Davidson Politano is one of my favorite new authors. I received a copy of this book from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review
