Be prepared this book is unlike anything Jodi Ellen Malpas has written and also note that the title is totally in sync with the plot of the book. This book is raw, emotional, shocking, tragic and above all else confronting. It will not be to everyone's taste and honestly I wasn't certain I could read it, let alone finish The Forbidden. However such is the skill and brilliant writing by Ms. Malpas that I persevered. What a roller coaster of emotions this book brought to the surface.

one of the best books I've read. couldn't put it down. So bloody emotional, so raw, so many twists. I laughed and I cried. I liked that it was different to some other books, don't say too much as don't want to spoil it. but loved "the forbidden" so much

I love all JEMs books & this was no different. Couldn't put my tablet down. It's so well written & had me going through so many emotions with Jack & Annie. Highly reccomend this, its a must read!!
