Yet another blasphemous "prosperity gospel" from a guy who's getting filthy rich at the expense of the desperate and gullible... NOT biblical, not inspired, and downright opposed in message to Scripture, from Job to the New Testament... Shameless huckstering. Remember what was said about camels and the eyes of needles while you put cash in this guy's pocket, and Who said "in this life, you will have troubles." Remember the Apostles, and what they endured for their Faith. Remember Paul in particular, and what he endured steadfastly:
I am suffering ... Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.
-- 2 Timothy 1:12
Then compare and contrast that to this heretical message.
Go to the Source for answers:
"I am leaving you with a gift -- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid." --John 14:27
and
"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." --John 16:33
THAT'S from the Book that will tell you what you need to know. We are in fight and a race (according to Paul); we are being "refined like silver in a fire," impurities and imperfections removed by trial. Osteen just doesn't get it, at all.

Joel Osteen doesn't preach the biblical Gospel, instead he preaches feel good messages that will do nothing for your soul. He attempts to provide comfort but instead sends his hearers happily to hell.

I started reading this book after I had watched Joel on TV... This book has many positive outlooks on life and also great stories about every day life and people. I believe after reading this book I will look at situations more differently and have a more positive out look. Great Christian book!!! Reading some stories you will feel yourself to start to smilie..
