This book is an amazing documentation of Black Farmers in America. Farming is never an easy job, but being a Black Farmer, facing discrimination, seems almost impossible. John Ficara's photographs show the dignity that these farmers have maintained against odds. The photography is the result of insightful vision, a sympathy for his subjects, and a body of work that echoes the grate documentary tradition of the FSA.
