About the author

John Patrick was a prolific, prize winning author of fiction and non fiction. One of his short stories, “The Well,” was honored by PEN American Center as one of the best of 1987. That story is reprinted in this anthology. His stories and novels, and the anthologies he edited, as well as his non fiction works, including Legends, Taboo, Barely Legal, and The Best of the Superstars series, continue to gain him new fans every day.
