Rob Muirhead

Prescient and passionate, Mill makes the case for the war against the Confederacy with aplomb and foresees the emancipation of slaves being the natural consequence of a protracted Civil War in the US. Also of interest are his thoughts on what would happen if the Confederacy were allowed to separate along with their 'peculiar institution', namely the reaction of the British Empire and how inevitable a conflict would arise between the staunchly anti-slavery world power and such an oligarchy of human subjugation. Truly brilliant and insightful!
