"The Theory Of Sound" by Lord Rayleigh is a classic text by one of the most prolific and important physicists of all time. In this book, he covers the theory of vibrations in considerable generality and then applies his methods to a great number of problems (in the process developing techniques that would later serve as the bases for finite element analysis and dimensional analysis).
