Da Rasmus går av toget på Centralstationen i september 1982, legger han lille Koppom bak seg, for aldri mer å skulle vende tilbake til barndommens trakter. Ung og vakker kaster han seg ut i de homofiles Stockholm. Benjamin er med i Jehovas vitner. Ivrig går han fra dør til dør for å forkynne Guds ord. Hans er tilsynelatende urokkelig i sin tro – helt til den dagen han ringer på hos Paul, den varmeste, morsomste og mest skrullete homoen Gud noen gang har skapt. På selveste julaften møtes Rasmus og Benjamin, og ingenting skal noen gang bli som før.
