About this ebook

New York Times bestseller Presumed Guilty exposes shocking, never-before revealed, exclusive information from the trial of the century and the verdict that shocked the nation.

When Caylee Anthony was reported missing in Orlando, Florida, in July 2008, the public spent the next three years following the investigation and the eventual trial of her mother, Casey Anthony. On July 5, 2011, the case that captured headlines worldwide exploded when, against all odds, defense attorney Jose Baez delivered one of the biggest legal upsets in American history: a not-guilty verdict.

In this tell-all, Baez shares secrets the defense knew but has not disclosed to anyone until now and frankly reveals his experiences throughout the entire case—discovering the evidence, meeting Casey Anthony for the first time, being with George and Cindy Anthony day after day, leading defense strategy meetings, and spending weeks in the judge's chambers.

Presumed Guilty shows how Baez, a struggling, high-school dropout, became one of the nation's most high-profile defense attorneys through his tireless efforts to seek justice for one of the country's most vilified murder suspects.

So many spelling mistakes, mistruths and lies in this book. I read this book thinking I could give it a chance. He kept going around in circles and to the point he had me confused. This book is not the right book for anyone to read in my opinion. Filled with lies and deception. And I have a sibling who has torretes syndrome, Jose you are disgusting to label that to anyone. I will gladly punch you in the face and happily get away with it :-)

His ego is too difficult to get beyond, & the book offers no helpful information. It did not change my feelings about the case, the verdict, Casey's lying, partying, & living it up knowing Caylee was decomposing in a reptile infested swamp. What innocent mommy would or could take their dead toddler's body & throw it in a place like that? Knowing people who've lost children to death I've seen a reoccurring element, reverence for the body of their child. None discarded the child even after accidental death.

Makes a lot of contradicting statements. Claims to be professional, humble, subdued etc., but gloated and showed his ego everywhere throughout the book. Said all the right things, but his true personality shines through. I dont believe he sacrificed his life, his family etc because he believed so firmly in her innocence . He wanted to be famous for getting her aquitted. Goal accomplished.
