There is a lot of angst and emotion in this story. My heart hurt for all of the challenges Soren had already faced in his life and it bled a little more for everything Eliot was being confronted by. I couldn’t help but resonate with all the negative self-talk and crises of self-confidence she faced. I really liked seeing the way these two lifted each other up while learning to be their own best champions. There are also a number of family secrets hinted at that I’m now desperate to dig deeper in

I've read several books written by Joss Wood; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the first book in the Dynasties: Calcott Manor Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Eliot & Soren; he her ex and rescues her from the paparazzi right after she’s left at the altar minutes before her wedding. Love a good romance where the characters try to fight their attraction but can't help it. Interesting characters are online as they maneuver the relationship and feelings that they are trying to fight. Good banter and interaction between the characters. Good read.
