Stoic Victorian stiff upper lips abound in this tale of discovery. Hapless Axel tries everything to avoid being caught up in his overbearing Uncle's scheme to journey to the centre of the Earth. Strong silent Hans keeps the dysfunctional duo out of trouble for a mere three Rixdollers a week. The trek down builds anticipation of finding a new world; unfortunately they do nothing when they get there, show no interest in what they discover, reminding me of the stereotypical tourist. Disappointing.
