Joy Don Baker, PhD, RN-BC, CNOR, CNE, NEA-BC, FAAN served AORN as a Board member, Vice President, and Editor-in-Chief of the AORN Journal. She is currently serving on AORN's national Research Committee. Joy Don continually meets the writing diversity challenge of authoring in both the scholarly and creative fiction worlds. She is a co-founder of the Baker & Goodman women's fiction Nurseketeers Series, and co-author of their award-winning book, A, B, & Cs of Author Partnering. She states she comes from the same vintage as her characters in the Nurseketeers women's fiction series.Joy Don presents frequently on a variety of topics at the International AORN Surgical Conference and Expo. She was an invited speaker at the VPNG conference in Melbourne, Australia, and the keynote speaker for the JONA Annual Congress in Chiba, Japan. Additionally, Dr. Baker holds certifications in Perioperative Nursing, Informatics, Executive Nursing Administration, and Education.
Terri Goodman, PhD, RN, CNOR's 20-year clinical practice in the perioperative environment including staffing, management, administration, education, and consulting. At every level, she found herself teaching. Currently, she owns and operates Terri Goodman & Associates, an approved provider of continuing nursing education credit. Dr. Goodman has authored a variety of textbooks, has published numerous articles in professional journals, and has presented at nursing and other health care conferences nationally and internationally. She is co-author with Dr. Joy Don Baker of the Nurseketeers series of novels, and the non-fiction book, The A, B, & Cs of Author Partnering. Dr. Goodman is a lifetime member of AORN and has held offices in AORN chapters and chaired many committees at the local and national level. She has served on the AORN Editorial Board, several national committees, and is currently on the Dallas AORN Boards of Directors.
