like all hamilton's it's a page turner. I'm glad to regain my life, after this huge story. i think the second volume is actually better than the 1st. I only regret that hamilton always favours technical efficiency at entertainment rather the going for art pieces that treats the real questions raised by his universe. but he is a prodigious craftman, with mind bobbling inventivity, precision sharp coherence in the settings.

Peter F. Hamilton is the author of numerous short stories and novels, including Pandora’s Star, Fallen Dragon, and the acclaimed epic Night’s Dawn trilogy (The Reality Dysfunction, The Neutronium Alchemist, and The Naked God). Hamilton lives in England.
