Wow, What a huge treat this Christmas boxset is!!🌲 Each story from each author is a complete story. I had read Julia Kent's one previously, I don't know how, but it's hilarious & definitely not to be missed!! It will have you crying with laughter. Shannen & Declan & their finest 😊 My favourite story of the bunch was Blair Babylon's All I Want For Christmas. It's based in the world of our beloved Rockstars Killer Valentine, set after Peyton's book 'Santa, Baby. A 21yr old guitar shredding, KV fanatic & little sister/friend zoned forever, Brodie, has been invited by her brother & his two best mates to Paris for an impromptu KV concert that they've snagged tickets for. She's on the plane with her big brothers bestie & fellow music player & lover, Jordan, in a snap. She's been crushing on his other friend since she can remember but he just sees her as 'short stuff', Langston's kid sister!! They're in the venue, front & centre of the stage when Nicolas goes off with a big busted redhead, completely ignoring Brodie yet again. Thankfully the lights dim, the crowd surges, Jordan moves in behind her tiny figure to a protective stance so she's safe at the front of the stage & KV explode on stage. Xan is right in front of her & before she knows what's happening Jordan has shown a video of her playing their songs to Xan & Cadell then she's being hoisted on stage to play WITH them!!! After the break Jordan joins them on stage too as a bass guitarist, it's crazy ... he's HOT, they're perfect!!! The rest, as they say, is history 😊💖😎 Now Blair writes like no-one I know. She has a twisty brain, her words. lol It makes for great reading. Her stories are intense & twisty, turny mysteries with suspense, sex heat & romance by the bucket load but this story & Peyton's before it are straight Romance books of top quality. Oh there's still heat 😉 But these are sweet in the best possible way 💖 I asked the author about the change in style & it was simple ... her brain needed a Romcation (a romantic vacation) to get ready to write us more twisty, turny, suspensey, danger fuelled goodness that will be the immense books that will make up her Flicka Billionaires In Disguise Fairytales!! My advice, Love this Romantic side of her writing while you can ... we have NO idea when or IF it will rear again & she's as amazing at writing straight up romance as she is as her other books!! I purchased this boxed set because of the story by Blair Babylon the other stories are a fantastic bonus. 😊 All I Want for Christmas is You by Blair Babylon is a fabulous BRAND NEW short story set in the world of Rock Stars In Disguise/Billionaires In Disguise and the band Killer Valentine. Even if you've never read any of the RSID or BID books you can still enjoy this short story about a young man and woman whose dreams come true in an unexpected way. I was reminded of the song Unanswered Prayers when I read this. Brodie Nye thinks she's in love with Nicolas Ross but she's in for a big surprise – courtesy of another friend, Jordan Donne. This is such a great story and it was wonderful to visit with the Killer Valentine gang again. Blair Babylon has been on my list of favorite authors for a few years now and that's not likely to change anytime soon. I am sure I will enjoy the other books in this collection, too. I've read several other books by Julie Kent and enjoyed all of them.
