colin is frustrated that everyone thinks he is just a charmer and nothing else. colin is a traveller and he writes a journal about his travels. he feels he can do things but doesn't know what to do. penelope has always been in love with colin since she was a teenager but she believes that as she is very plain so he won't notice her, which is true,until he returns from his latest travel. they r thrown together in scenarios where they get to see somethings about each other that others don't know. colin becomes more aware of penelope and realises there is much more to her than the wallflower appearance. penelople is lady whistledown and she is the one who writes the articles. she tries to hide it from colin but the story is how colin figures it out and comes to terms with his feelings and what he wants to be in life. it wasn't as good as the viscount who loved me, but it did have its moments.
