Not a favorite of mine but overall a pretty good read. It's well written and has some strong characters. Myself, I just couldn't warm up to these characters, especially Jade. I found her to be a bit obnoxious and couldn't see why a handsome younger successful guy like Dean would be interested in her. There was obviously great sexual chemistry between Jade and Dean but other than that I didn't think they worked that well together.

Bright lights, big city ...love triangle? Julie Particka is known for her sexy stories. Though Playing the Perfect Boyfriend does not lack for heat, it is abundant in laughs and tackles some serious stereotyping. For instance, I thought it was great that the woman was not getting played as much as she was pulling the strings. Usually, it's the opposite. I also liked the hint of younger man, older woman. Another stereotype that is usually the other way around. I received Playing the Perfect Boyfriend in exchange for an honest review. It's not rocket science, it's great entertainment. About the author

Julie Particka was told to get serious about her future in junior high. Several years after getting a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, she realized being serious was overrated and went back to her rst love—writing. Now rather than spending her days in the drudgery of the lab or teaching science to high school students, she disappears into worlds of her own creation where monsters sometimes roam, but true love still conquers all.

She can most often be located in the Detroit area with her favorite minions (the ones who know her as Mom) where she is currently hatching a plot for world domination. It involves cookies for everyone, so she’s pretty sure there’s no way it can fail...except the minions keep eating the cookies.
