Jyotirmaya Thakur is a widely traveled person in love with diverse cultures of the world and portrays their impressions in her poetry, is an ardent advocate for women, the unprivileged and positive social change.
She is the author of twenty-one books, numerous research papers on literary and social issues and has published articles, short stories and poems in international anthologies, magazines and poetry forums. Her work has been translated into numerous languages globally and she is a motivational public speaker invited to speak on literary, environmental and social issues.
Jyotirmaya Thakur holds a multitude of medals and certificates for best poetic contributions, is an awarded editor, has been given honorary titles by poetry forums, institutions and festivals and been the subject of numerous literary articles. She is currently Vice President of the World Parliament of Literature and Senator of the World Union of Poets.
