William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616) ist einer der bedeutendsten Dramatiker und Dichter aller Zeiten. Zunächst machte er sich als Schauspieler in London einen Namen, verfasste dann jedoch auch selbst zahlreiche Dramen und legte so den Grundstein für seinen Erfolg.
