Since the first book in The Club X series came out, I knew that Kane was different. Not the fact that his last name is different from Cash and Stefan, not the fact that he was raised by a different mother, and certainly not the fact that he is over the "fantasy" side of the club. What made Kane different from his half brothers, is that he has a dark side, a side that he doesn't share with his family, a side that he himself fights to control. Most of Kane's demons come from his mother, she seemed to be angry at the world, and in turn tried to make Kane the same way. I understand why Kane is like he is, and what would make him do the things he did. When he meets Abbi, he knows that he should stay away from her but he just can't. Abbi, has a very vulnerable side to her, that men take advantage of, and she can't seem to catch a break. She thinks that all men treat women like punching bags, until Kane. Abbi learns to trust and love Kane, and there is no doubt that Kane loves her. And the reader gets a glimpse of a soft, kind, and loving Kane! I loved this book, and just as I knew from the beginning, Kane's story would be my favorite. After I finished reading this book, it is still my favorite. Kane can't seem to shake his demons, and therefore he does what he knows he has to, in order to keep Abbi safe. I am not going to go into any of the details of this story because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I will say that K.M. Scott, pulled me in from the beginning with this handsome, sexy, quiet, and domineering man, and although his story is painful to read at times, the ending actually fits him perfectly. If you have ever read any of K.M. Scott's books, you will not want to miss this one. You can't help but love the new side of Stefan, and there is no way that you won't love Kane. Although the ending may not have been what we wanted, at least Kane stayed true to himself. Thank you for such an amazing read K.M. Scott, looking forward to a lot more!!

Possession is book 3 in the Club X series. This book is where I was emotionally destroyed. I was devastated to find out that two people were so broken that they could just not get close enough to happiness. The pain that came through these characters make you feel it all the way through you chest. You want to reach out to them and tell them to stay strong. This is Kane and Abbi's story. We had an idea that Kane's backstory was going to kill us. And oh it made me feel for the little boy that grew up as a broken man. Abbi was coming up from a background that tries to destroy her. This woman still has some hope that one day she will be happy and in love. My heart barely stayed in one piece with this book. I was crying, yelling, and hoping that once I get to the end we will all be okay. Well it was total 360 from what I had anticipated and once you read this book, you will understand what I mean. Seriously I am captured by this series and have enjoyed the reread this summer!

I just finished reading this book & I am an emotional mess. I knew Kane was going to be my favorite brother (which he was) but the rollercoaster ride of emotions this story takes you on has literally left me utterly torn up inside. I am not a fan of the ending of this book, although I understand why it had to be, but I see a much, much different ending for Kane.
