About this ebook

What's a little marriage between friends?

Mia has been Braxton's best friend for years. Even when they no longer lived in the same foster family, even after he'd aged out of the system, he'd continued to look out for the one person who got under his skin and made him care.

For the last six years, Mia's been keeping her head down, putting one foot in front of the other, unable to trust anyone with her secrets—including the foster brother who's been the one bright spot in her life, as well as her secret crush.

Just one more day until Mia turns eighteen—a legal adult. Brax doesn't trust her foster father and wants her out of that house. Is proposing a marriage of convenience to your best friend a little drastic? Maybe so. But what Brax feels is so far beyond friendship. Is it possible Mia feels it, too?

Please note that this is a backstory prequel. The adult second chance romance between Brax and Mia is covered in MIXED UP WITH A MARINE, Book 1 in the new Bad Boy Bakers series, releasing April 8th.

This prequel does what all great prequels do, leave you wanting more. Getting this part of Mia and Braxton's story while waiting for their story now, is likely to go a long way in my enjoyment of their story when it comes. What Mia and Braxton have to deal with hits similar notes to what Autumn and Judd dealt with in the teen part of their story - so know that it's more along the Wishing for a Hero series from Kait, rather than the Wishful world. Don't hesitate to grab this freebie. *I'm a lucky fish & on the author's ARC team*

This is a great prequel to Kait Nolan's new series and I am anxiously waiting for the book to finish Brax & Mia's story! I was left hanging at the end, which I know a prequel is suppose to do. Their story has me hooked, it's very emotional, and I need to finish it. Hopefully it won't be too long. I was given a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I'm voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.

I am a Kait SuperFan, I have read everything she has written, short of her shopping list, so it's unlikely you'll read a bad review from me. This book I loved, the was it dropped me back into a scene in a previous book was lovely and a great trick that Kait uses. However, I'm not sure I like our shero. It was all going great until a key change in the story and then I spent the last part of the book shouting at her. There were things she could have done, letters she could have written, texts she could have sent. Don't get me wrong the book is amazingly written, the characters well built, the scenes well set, I'm just not sure I like her. Don't get me wrong I will be picking up the followed up book to see if she makes amends, although she's got a long way to go to get back in my good books. Check it out and see what you think. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
