Nadine öffnet den Umschlag und zieht mehrere Röntgenaufnahmen und ein Briefblatt heraus. "Medizinischer Befund! Tumor! Inoperabel! ..." Die Worte springen die junge Frau an wie lodernde Flammen und brennen sich unauslöschlich in ihr ein. Soll das bedeuten, dass ihr Kind sterben muss? Und Alexander weiß es und nimmt es als unabänderlich hin? Wie lange wollte er ihr noch verschweigen, was mit Anna ist?
"Nein!", widerspricht Nadine voller Trotz. "Ich werde diese Diagnose nicht als endgültig akzeptieren. Ich werde kämpfen! Anna muss leben!"
