About this ebook

Even the ultimate marriage of convenience deserves a little romance!

"I am not romantic, you know; I never was. I only ask a comfortable home..." ~ Charlotte Lucas

When Charlotte Lucas becomes Mrs. Collins, she believes she has achieved her heart's desire, but from the moment she crosses the threshold at Hunsford Parsonage, another woman asserts power over the household ~ Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

Though her marriage is quite convenient and appears outwardly happy, Charlotte cannot ignore the oppressive influence of her husband's patroness. She accepts Mr. Darcy's offer to take her to London to visit her friend Eliza Bennet, where a charming rogue takes an unsettling interest...in Charlotte.

She returns from London with the inevitable merely delayed. She must stand up to Lady Catherine or never call her home truly her own.
