About this ebook

Welcome to Wychwood-on-Lea… a not-too-quaint village where frosty evenings, welcoming fires, and second chances will make this a Christmas you’ll never forget.

Anna Vere has escaped to the Cotswolds for Christmas to try to heal from her broken engagement and, far worse, her broken dreams. When her reserved room at a bed & breakfast is flooded, she takes up the offer of camping out in Willoughby Close, the converted stables of the nearby manor house… and is taken under the wing of sexy local carpenter Colin Heath.

What starts out as merely helping a neighbor in need turns into far more as Colin and Anna share a surprisingly intense and emotional connection, weaving their own Christmas magic as they spend the holiday together. But Anna has a secret she’s scared to reveal, something that could destroy the fragile bond they’ve just created, and Colin knows she’s only in England for a short time. Can these two sudden soul mates risk their hearts for a love that has yet to be tried and tested?

Get swept away by this poignant and heartwarming story, set in beautiful Wychwood-on-Lea, in the English Cotswolds. And look forward to four more books set in Willoughby Close, where everyday miracles and happily-ever-afters are guaranteed.

A sweet Christmas romance. Anna needed to get away from the holiday's after a broken engagement. She leaves New York and heads to the English countryside of Cotswold. She has booked into a quaint B&B, but upon arrival finds she can not stay there. The owner has offered her to stay else where, when she meets sexy carpenter, Colin to come to her rescue. What starts of as friendship develops into much more. Both with previous hurts can they trust each other to move forward. A short story, with a great introduction into a new series. Loved the descriptive writing of the English countryside. I must say, "that kiss" was the perfect first kiss. I highly recommend this book. I received a copy from netgalley for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading A Cotswold Christmas by Kate Hewitt. It’s a stranger helping another stranger story. Anna Vere needed to get away from family and friends as she dealt with changes affecting her life. She decided to leave New York and travel to Cotswold to regroup. Unfortunately the Bed and Breakfast she was to stay had been flooded and she had nowhere to stay. Enter Colin Heath, a relative of the B&B owner. He would help her out with a place to stay, a place he had been remodeling. The attraction between these two develops as they open to each other, telling heartfelt stories and sharing deep down secrets. Now Anna and Colin need to figure out whether they can build a long distance relationship or if one or the other can give up their home to live with the other. This was a sweet, fun and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Anna is an American, she has come to the Cotswolds to spend Christmas alone in a bed and breakfast, only to find that there has been a flood and her room is uninhabitable - on 22 December! Her hapless landlady offers alternate accommodation staying at some cottages which are being renovated by her cousin Colin. Of course Colin turns out to be a gorgeous strapping man, just the antidote to all the bad things that have happened to Anna over the last three months. I guess this is just what you expect from the cover and title, a sweet holiday romance set in an idyllic country village with interfering family, midnight mass at the local church, long walks with dogs etc. It was okay, pleasant but didn't light me on fire.
