I wish every arm chair expert, newspaper headline repeating judgemental person who has ever expressed an opinion on this case would read this book. I resisted it because of the hype and because so many had portrayed it as a mccann plea that they weren't to blame. It is not that at all. It is a more in depth examination of events from the point of view of parents who deeply regret a decision they made and who aren't asking for forgiveness just for everyone to be continually aware of madeleine's continued absense, of the poor efforts to locate her and time wasted in police departments ruled by personal opinion and prejudice rather than evidence and science. This book will hopefully make anyone critical of the family reevaluate some of their beliefs gathered from erroneous reports and misguided moral standpoints. I wonder how many of us have never made potentially disastrous decisions but been lucky. I wonder how many of us have never made decisions of which we are deeply ashamed, bitterly regretful of,, knowing we've caused immeasurable pain to others. This is book about being human and anyone who thinks they are perfect enough to pass judgement on this family are sadly deluded.

Couldn't put the book down.. my heart goes out to you.. I'm the mum of 2 and I don't no if I'd be able to grab enough strength but I guess uv found it.. suppose its just built into us if something dredful happens to our babies our lives xx I hope your book helps to get the answers

Why would they kill madeleine what would they gain from it and they had no transport until after when the media was following them so how could they get rid of the body and there's no body which could suggest she's still alive I think the police should search the paedophile sites and sex rings and if they have and haven't found her then I don't know what else to suggest all I know is someone somewhere knows something and it's time they confessed surely it's playing on your consions

About the author

Madeleine McCann was abducted in Praia da Luz, Portugal on Thursday, 3 May 2007. Kate and Gerry McCann established 'Madeleine's Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned' in response to the many generous donations that started to flood in from the general public who were wanting to help the search for their daughter in some way. As there had been no police force in the world actively looking for Madeleine since July 2008, the fund enabled a small team of committed and experienced people to investigate Madeleine's disappearance. It continues to support the search and also runs awareness campaigns in several countries, to ensure the public know that Madeleine is still missing, and to encourage them to remain vigilant.

Once Madeleine has been found, the fund will be used to assist searches for other missing children worldwide.
