This is a quick, second chance romance read that follows Alpha's Mercy. It'd be a really good idea to read that one first as this one doesn't stand alone well (that one, however, stands alone fine). Though it was short, it was sweet and I enjoyed the notion that these two got another go at the hea despite a clearly rocky past. There was a lot left unsaid, but I felt that was intentional and that it worked well for the short that this was intended to be. The characters had just enough personality to make me feel for them and want them to be happy. Short, steamy, with some intrigue and a dose of action, this is a good read if you want something quick but satisfying.
