I love a book that leaves you confused about how you feel about certain issues. This book had me uncertain almost the whole time i was reading it. You find yourself questioning why you want the story to turn out the way you want despite some of the character's flaws. The woman in it is a very simple woman who the writer was able to really allow the reader to empathize with, despite the reader being from a different era and mindset. The writer does over explain the surroundings or other descriptions, but her writing is very poetic. This book is well written, thought provoking, and poetic. Well worth reading.
