I enjoyed this but I think it could have been a bit shorter. There were parts that seemed to drag. As far as the mystery went there were twists and turns that kept you guessing as to who the baddie was. There was some sexual tension that built and then plenty of sizzle. Not too sure about a sequel for this though. The last 25% was the best part of the story.

Was it a jealousy situation … shot by the ex-lover? Or was it a well known crime lord wanting to make sure his trail never happened? And then again, what was HE doing with Kat that night when he was suppose to be at a charity benefit with another woman? So many questions and very few answers. One thing we do know, ADA Ethan O’Rourke was shot. He was targeted and brought down with a single gunshot as he walked out of a busy restaurant’s front door. He lay unconscious in a pool of blood. The press was there to capture the aftershock … but, was it just incidental that this happened just in time for the 11 o’clock news? And that reporter, jamming the microphone in front of bystanders faces, was it just good timing? Oh yes, it’s important to know that very reporter was dating Ethan. It was her that was suppose to be at that benefit with him …. So, what’s Ethan doing with another woman, on a date at that fancy restaurant? Lots of questions unanswered…. but this all takes place in the first chapter, so we don’t really expect the answers yet. And maybe just when you think you have it all figured out…. just maybe there’s a plot twist blowing all that speculation to pieces. We have it all…. mystery, suspense, romance, … all we need to figure out is, Who Done It. 👁 OBSERVATIONS: I love a good romantic suspense with twists and turns. However, I don’t like heavy bedroom scenes trying to steal the show and interfere with the real story. They simply take away from the plot line and give an author more filler pages to make the book look bigger. So, if you are like me and want to continue reading the real story, you may want to skip over those scenes in the book. A very hot romance that had lots of suspense and chemistry! I was caught right from the very beginning and the the story ended way too fast for my liking (just because it was so good). Katherine Hawthorne continues to give a good plot that catches the readers attention throughout the book. If you are looking for a captivating read that is full of suspense, hot romance and a lot of fun, read this book. I can't wait for her next release.
