This novel was one of the most intriguing I've ever read. The characters are emotional and at times defiant. This is a must read!

Enjoyed this sequel to The Kitchen House. A vibrant story about the struggles of race, culture and personal identity.

Made me cry and laugh. It really was a sad book.
