Kathrin Heinrichs wurde 1970 im Sauerland geboren, studierte in Köln Germanistik und Anglistik und arbeitet seit 1999 als Autorin und Kabarettistin. Bekannt wurde sie mit ihrer Krimireihe um Hauptfigur Vincent Jakobs. Kathrin Heinrichs hat drei erwachsene Kinder und lebt mit ihrem Mann in Menden.
