I am a real Kathryn Shay fan. I have yet to be disappointed by her work. This story is different from her others. There are no flashbacks, which I really don't like. I appreciate the development of the 2 main characters and the differences in their mothers. Jordan is a strong character , even when he is 12, and Darcy is a well-defined character from the start. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

I think it's exceptional to weave several stories into one. It's almost too close to reality to be fiction. Thanks author, for good overcoming all the darkest of humanities wrongs in the book.

this was an amazing story. very real and the characters were so sincerely described. wonderful storytelling. I would love to read more stories like this. real and honest.
