About this ebook

"A gripping story that pulls you in and doesn't let go until the end." -Book Review Cafe

A GRISLY CRIME
On a day that seems perfectly ordinary, Alice Halpern waits for her best friend at the playground where they always meet with their children in their comfortable Brooklyn neighborhood. But when Lauren doesn't come home, then fails to pick her son up from school, a normal day turns into a nightmare-and Alice begins to realize that nothing will ever be ordinary again.

A GROWING FEAR
The police desperately search for Lauren, who is nearly nine months pregnant. Alice, herself pregnant, realizes she's being followed and has the creeping fear that she and her unborn twins are in danger. As the investigation intensifies, Alice is shocked as her familiar world begins to unravel. And as new life grows within her, she must fight to save her family-and herself...

Read two of her books so far. Good plots, but a strange way of using words sometimes that don't belong. Trying way too hard to be original, but comes off as ridiculous. Stop trying to be so wordy and eccentric where it doesn't work.

This book was exciting and interesting. I hated when I had to stop reading. It didn't end at all the way I would have thought. Katia Lief has now become 1 of my all time fave authors...A MUST READ

Oh, most of this is decent. I've been sort of collecting Katia Lief novels lately, and this one, right up until the end, stands up there with her other suspense novels... and then falls completly flat! I was so bummed by the ending.
