This is book 6 of the Red Stone Security series, but know it is definitely is a stand alone. The story centers around Iris Tarango and Wyatt Christiensen. She is a former Marine and currently a well respected operative at Red Stone Security. Wyatt is a very successful businessman owning hotels in Vegas, and various other companies. They have been friends since they were 10, growing up poor but making a name for themselves. An underlying chemistry has been there fror a while. What happens in Vegas , doesn’t always stay in Vegas. She flees back to Miami after spending a week with Wyatt in Vegas. When he is in need of a bodyguard , Wyatt hires Red Stone Security and requests Iris as his bodyguard. Without giving away the plot let’s just say that it’s a fast paced story, the friends to lovers and more is intense, the suspense, bad guys and gun for hire will have you on the edge of your seat, and the twists and turns will keep you on your toes. Oh, and the author mentions the Serafina hotel Wyatt is planning on building. That has encouraged me to check out the author’s, The Serafina Sin City Series. I was gifted this audiobook. Iris works for Red Stone. Wyatt and Iris have been friends since they were ten years old. When someone attempts to poison Wyatt, he hires Red Stone and Iris is leader. She also just happens to be his wife. He wants their marriage to work but first they've got to find out who is trying to kill Wyatt. I honestly had no idea who the bad guy was until the end!
