About this ebook

Not your everyday coming-of-age novel.

This story was supposed to be about Evie—how she hasn't made a friend in years, how she tends to stretch the truth (especially about her so-called relationship with college drop-out Jonah Luks), and how she finally comes into her own once she learns to just be herself—but it isn't. Because when her classmate Elizabeth "Zabet" McCabe's murdered body is found in the woods, everything changes—and Evie's life is never the same again.

At first glance, I was confused by the description of the book. It was left bare and only gives the fleshy general idea of the book. Naturally I had to read on. While the story line is a very juicy and an elaborate one, I had trouble following. The main characters were all over the place and unrealistic-of course that is only my opinion. I found myself unable to put the book down until the last few pages when I was left disappointed with how this book was ending... I was left wondering what happened to the characters? What connections did Jonah have to Hadley's assumptions? Was she just crazy? And then you never really find out what happened to poor Zabet like you hope for during the entire story....isnt that the point of the entire story? While beautifully written, I was left confused. I guess its really up to the reader to decide how they feel.
