***I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book*** I hadn't read anything from this author before but I'll be correcting that in the near future. Ms. Duncan creates an atmosphere with shades of "I know What You Did Last Summer, The Breakfast Club, or Pretty Little Liars" as other reviewers have noted in their reviews. I myself was reminded of the old movie/nursery rhyme "Ten Little Indians". It's about secrets and lies reveled about each of the Saturday detention group of students by an unknown individual for an unknown reason/purpose. These students don't know it but they are all connected to some past situation/deed. The book keeps you guessing as page by page, student by student their secrets and lies are reveled to all the other detainees. It makes you want to know what the purpose is for this cat-an-mouse game. What is going to happen when everything is laid bare? Is there something dangerous to this game? What do each of the "six little Indians" have to hide? Is one or more of the students going to have to face some terrible or deadly consequence for their words or actions? You'll have to read the book to get answers to these and more questions. This book would have benefited if it had been a full-length novel. It would have given the author a better chance to developed the characters and the plot. I'm sure that Ms. Duncan will have many more stories that will draw its reader into some intriguing world or situation. I would recommend this book to all young adults/teens
