About this ebook

Escape into this time-travel romance series by #1 New York Times bestselling fantasy author Kelley Armstrong…

Four years ago, Rosalind Courtenay stumbled from the nineteenth century to the twenty-first, where she has been trapped ever since, leaving her husband and infant son behind. Now she’s found her way back.

The problem, of course, is how to explain her absence to her husband. Does he think she abandoned him? Has he remarried? Is he happy in a new life? Rosalind decides to don a disguise in hopes of answering her questions before showing up on his doorstep. Instead, a twist of fate has her mistaken for her young son’s new governess.

Rosalind has every intention of revealing herself as soon as August returns home from business. Until then, she’ll get to know her son, a quiet child who has inexplicably been abandoned by an endless stream of governesses. That’s when the hauntings begin. Rosalind has finally come home and something—or someone—doesn’t just want her gone. They want her dead.

I have been following Kelley Armstrong for many years now, and this is my favourite series from her yet, which is saying something considering how I much I love the rest! A Twist of Fate picks up after the first book in the series, A Stitch in Time, following Rosalind, a new but familiar character to us from the first installment. We experience her heartache and heart-bursting joy, along with everything in between as she navigates relationships, a haunting past, and human nature throughout the twists and turns of fate and time. The teasers for Kelley's upcoming holiday novella and third book in the series that were tucked in the back have me anxiously awaiting the next adventures from Thorne Manor!

I have loved every other book Kelley has written and was not disappointed by this book. Twist Of Fate was the sequel to Kelleys A Stitch in time, but could easily be read as a stand alone. Kelley did well combining romance, time travel, suspense and as usual paranormal all in one smoothly. I love how Rosalinds character developed throughout the book and how resilient she was. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait until book 3 comes out!

Kelley Armstrong proves once again that she is a master of the 1st person narrative. The 19th century jumps off the page to engulf you in stunning detail and beautiful imagery. The plot moves quickly and the deeply written characters provide twists and turns galore. Gothic romance, ghost story and who-done-it collide to set this novel apart from others in the genre. A great new read for longtime Armstrong fans or a wonderful introduction to this Canadian treasure and literary powerhouse.

About the author

Kelley Armstrong believes experience is the best teacher, though she’s been told this shouldn’t apply to writing her murder scenes. To craft her books, she has studied aikido, archery and fencing. She sucks at all of them. She has also crawled through very shallow cave systems and climbed half a mountain before chickening out. She is however an expert coffee drinker and a true connoisseur of chocolate-chip cookies.
