About this ebook

Is it Reasonable to Believe?

Remarkably, even though millions upon millions of us do believe in God, when we are asked why we have such faith, we become tongue-tied and struggle to give a reason for our hope. No wonder those who don't believe God exists remain unconvinced—there's too few of us ready to speak on God's behalf!

Ken Boa and Robert Bowman have provided a resource that tackles the most profound arguments from philosophy, science, sociology, psychology, and history ... and presents twenty clear, concise, and compelling evidences that show that faith in God—and specifically Jesus Christ—is reasonable.

This book poorly understands and poorly describes some philosophies counter to it's pre-excepted belief system, (there is a God named Jehovah,) then further misleads the reader by dismissing these philosophies based on it's misunderstanding of them. The descriptions of these other teachings reveal the author quickly make leaps about the implications and doesn't ever really get to the point of them. So, obviously his criticisms are useless, except to further convince those who have not looked into any of these other teachings on their own. It pretends to be about facts and not feelings but is tainted at every step with it's believers goggles, even suggesting it is non-believers who are the real believers. And never once do they discuss the murder and enslavement/rape of children ordered by Jehovah, who they bow down to.

As a devout Christian, I thought this would be a good read for discussing, but this book is an embarrassment. The book takes a lot of different views and picks specific parts to bash, and uses connotations to put them in negative light. Arguments are very far fetched but speaks of them as if they are definite.

This book details several different types of evidence that God exists. It ranges from the philosophical and cultural at the beginning to the Bible later on. There is not just one theory in here. There are a series of arguments that build up together to make the case that God exists. Very well written with compelling arguments. Anyone who disagrees can go to the Bible to try and prove it to be false.
