Ken Leek has been active in the arts for twenty years. He started his navigation through the world of words as the vocalist and lyricist of his first punk band, The Neighbors (1991-2001). Five releases were put out in that time span with two releases finding national and international acclaim. During that time, he developed an interest in biographical and instructional writing by contributing to fanzines such as “Genetic Disorder” (The Satan Issue) and “Too Sick To Move” (DIY Issue). He also wrote a short, nonfiction piece in a book titled, “Stories From The Road”, which featured short stories from bands’ whacky experiences playing live. Inspired and influenced by hard-edged musicians and authors, Ken continues to create harsh music as well as warped, yet thoroughly researched and often comical, fiction.
