About the author

Kenneth W. Matheson, a Professor in the School of Social Work at Brigham Young University, earned master’s and doctorate degrees in social work from the University of Utah. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist and clinical social worker, and has been involved in clinical practice for over forty years. Ken has lectured and presented numerous marriage seminars across the country, and has published in various books and magazines dealing with marriage and family. He has served on advisory boards for various agencies and been a member of a board of education for twelve years. He and his wife, Marlene, are the parents of six children and grandparents of five.
