About this ebook

The aftermath of the Battle of Agnipur has set the sun completely on the lives of The King’s Nine. As Kalith’s search for his lost father continues, the nine gifted warriors are dealing with the recent murder of their mentor and adjusting to their new frivolous yet hectic lives in the palace, while trying to maintain their sanity against being constantly judged as freaks, paraded around like circus-men and derided for being the new king’s First Men in an unstable post-war kingdom.
As The Nine try to find their foothold, while trying to stick together and survive as a team, a blood-curdling note from the forgotten past leads them into the musky cages of the snake infested land of the Vish Kanyas - the Village of Darkness. The Nine face their biggest nightmare yet as they encounter the nerve-wracking and enigmatic Black Princess and her pet Turbans, while trying to decipher the gruesome, twisted truth behind the macabre racket.
An abduction of one of their own takes them into invading the cursed land of Ubhakrat, where accompanied by a valorous navigator with a vendetta of his own, The Nine finally stumble upon their ultimate fate - the reckoning of Tiyasa’s malediction. Choking on the prophecy that mind numbingly wove everything together and battling the twisted monsters unleashed by this strange land, The Nine ultimately step up to meet their nemesis - indestructibly powerful, brilliantly all calculating and paramount super villains - the Triad.

The sequel is fantastic! Loved the way the battle scenes have been written- especially the last epic battle. The emotional journey of characters was so well described. Newly introduced character Ved was very intriguing. The villains were mind numbingly terrifying, Vaedehi being my favourite. The second book has brought so much more to the Kalithverse! It really is India’s best hope at a superhero series.

The cover of the book is amzazing and cool.. The writing style is good khyati narrated the whole story very nicely and its like you are with them when they are fighting and laughing and when they are terrified by the Triads.. I love the battle scenes very much specially The battle of Ubhakrat..... And the best thing about khyati is how well she elaborate or people and how she describe buildings.... And It was really interesting to read how the Village of Darkness works....

What a book! If you were blown away by the first book then get a couple of energy drinks because the awesomeness of the 2nd book will drain out every ounce of energy from you! Where do I begin! The battle sequences! The setups! Oh god! Such mind boggling scenarios ideas and plotlines! We dive into the book looking out for Tiwala and bang! The way it shoots off! Theres not a moment to breathe! I was literally holding my head and screaming at points! The best part about the book is that I just forget that its a book and not a real world! I am afraid with The Nine, I am infuriated as The Nine are! I am fighting with The Nine! There are very few books that can do that for you. Trust me! If you thought Book1 was brilliant.. this.will.kill.you! I am serious! Khyati just has that knack for story writing that keeps you engrossed throughout.. that makes you wanna finish the book in one sitting! Thank you. For this book.. for these superheroes.. for the Kalithverse! P.S. neeeeeed book 3!
