I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was a wonderful book to read. This is a part of a series involving Wildcat Bluff Firefighters. While this is a part of a series, you really don't need to read the prior stories to enjoy this. Ivy Bryant comes to take over the running of Wildcat Hall that she and her sister purchased together. The Hall is a historic honkytonk of the county. Ivy was to be the silent partner that enjoys her life in Houston. Fern on the other hand is the brilliant creator/singer/rolling stone of the sisters. Fern takes a job on a cruise line and forces Ivy to come and run the honkytonk. Once there, she encounters hunky rancher/volunteer firefighter/former rodeo bull-rider/chef, Slade Steele. The sparks fly fast and furious, at least for Slade. Ivy, on the other hand, is more reserved and cautious. Seeing these two wonderful characters interact was a delight. I enjoyed the plot. There was A LOT here to keep me interested in turning the pages and wondering what was going to happen next! I loved the dual POV format! Reading both of the main characters' thoughts, really help me to fully understand where they are coming from. Plus understanding their actions and speech in a scene is a BIG plus. This is a sexy read. The author did a great job of writing the "bedroom" scenes without being erotica. I would highly recommend this to anyone over the age of 18.
