I wanted to like this book. I tried to like this book. I am giving up 75 pages in. It is awful. I don't know how the official review compares this book to Harry Potter. The dialogue was so terrible. The protagonists are in their late teens but I can promise you that you've never heard a 16 talk the way the characters in this book do. I'm glad this was free because I would have been really bummed had I paid for it.

I liked the concept of this story and how it's unlike anything else I've ever read. While the characters are relatable and the plot riviting, I feel like too much happened all at once. We all love a great plot twist or two in a story, but sometimes I just want an author to make we work for the next big thing. All the places Richardson went in the book were great; I just wish she had created more space between each event.
