Während meiner Tätigkeit als Heilpädagoge in einer heilpädagogischen Einrichtung hatte ich eine denkwürdige Begegnung mit einem elfjährigen Jungen, den ich in meinem Bericht Theodor nennen möchte. An einem Wochenende im März 1991 war Theo zu Gast in unserer Familie. Am Samstagnachmittag musste ich, als ich die Wohnung betrat, feststellen, dass drei meiner Medaillen fehlten, welche ich nach erfolgreichen Marathonläufen bekommen hatte. Ich schlug ihm vor, sich selbst auch so eine Medaille durch eigene Leistung zu verdienen. Dazu müsse man keinen Marathonlauf durchstehen. So eine Medaille bekommt man auch schon bei den meisten fünf Kilometer langen Volksläufen.
Es wird berichtet, was aus diesem Vorschlag geworden ist.
