First things first, I absolutely love the title of this book. I mean, with a name like Knocking Boots, it's pretty much a given that it's gonna be sexy and fun... And it is. That's not to say it doesn't have its emotional side too. This is a Willow Winters book after all. Grace's story definitely pulls at the heartstrings, but it sure makes for an interesting storyline as she and Charlie start, umm, knocking those boots. These two have such good chemistry even though they seem miles apart on where they're going and what they want out of life. Not that she needs any help - Winters's characters practically leap off the page - but Teddy Hamilton and Lidia Dornet breathe life into Charlie and Grace, or maybe I should say they give voice to these characters. Either way you phrase it, they both do an excellent job. I've listened to Lidia Dornet before, and she does just as good here as I would expect from her. I do believe this is my first experience with Teddy Hamilton, but I have to say his sexy, smooth voice was perfect for Charlie. The story gives us a mixed bag of romance tropes - slow burn, friends to lovers, fake relationship - but Willow Winters weaves them all together wonderfully, and these narrators are the icing on an already superb cake.

Get ready for the sweeter, swoonier side of author Willow Winters. This rewrite of Knocking Boots sure knocked it out of the park for me. What better way to pass the days than to dive into a romance that brings out all the feels. There is nothing better than reading a story and watching an alpha male fall in love and realize everything he thought he didn’t want is exactly what he needs. Winters proves that she has a real talent for writing and can switch genres in a flash. If her darker romances don’t float your boat, her sweeter, contemporary ones sure will! I thought Charlie was an awesome hero. Attentive and loving, yet a little naïve about love and women. I loved how Grace burned her way into his heart, his soul, and his life. Grace took a chance knowing it could be detrimental to her fragile state and quite possibly derail her life plans, but who can resist the the charms of a sweet talking bar owner in fitted jeans and a great pair of boots.

Willow Winters is a new author to me but when I got the opportunity to listen to a book I have heard so much about, I jumped at the chance. This book is everything everyone has talked about and so much more and I’m really struggling understand why I have read or listened to more from this very talented author. The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Lidia Dornet did a wonderful job bringing this story and Charlie and Grace to life for me. Grace has crushed on Charlie ever since she started frequenting the bar he owns, what she doesn’t realise is the feelings are mutual. On the face of it this couple want very different things out of life but fate seems intent on bringing them together so will fate win, will Charlie and Grace get their HEA or will the baggage that Charlie carries around be just to much for a relationship to succeed...... If you love small town romances this is the book for you, the narrators did a fantastic job with the push and pull of Charlie and Grace’s relationship, they also got the banter spot on and I found myself smiling and giggling through is entertaining listen.

About the author

I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read smut and I read EVERYTHING. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. And I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?

I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have so many fans. And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my two littles (Jax who’s two and a half and Evie who just turned one!) during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a fan and it makes me want to push through and keep writing. And I do. I promise I won’t stop!
