Billy’s explanations are clear and thorough, often approached in an insightful manner distinct from other language-teaching books. ‘Korean Made Simple’ is organized well. The cultural notes contribute to a better understanding of using the Korean language and point out pertinent differences from an English-speaking perspective. Differences are noted not only between Korean and English conventions, but also within the Korean language itself. Overall this book presents a solid introduction to the Korean language, while also serving as an excellent resource for previous learners to brush up on the foundations. I will definitely be giving this another read in the future.

Learning language is not just translating your mother language into it. Especially at the very beginning of learning a language, It is really important not to feel overwhelmed and learn misconceptions. Actually it is well known that korean is hard to learn compared to other languages. As a native korean, I've often seen people who have misguided knowledge in the korean language in both grammar and nuance. The author has made an considerable effort to cover a wide range of korean in terms both of these.
