I haven’t read any of the books in the series before and Krista Davis wrote this book so well that I felt I didn’t miss out on anything regarding character arcs and background stories. What I especially liked in this book was the main character and amateur sleuth,Sophie worked with the local police in their investigation. This helped keep the plot at a good pace and the momentum of the investigation was perfect. The characters were all fun and mannerisms were flushed out enough.
