Great story but I really struggled with Mara. I found myself rolling my eyes through the book. Even when she found her strength it was with some hesitation.

Loved the story line. I loved the back and forth relationship between Mara and Mitch. It felt real and tragic, heart-wrenching and hopeful. Mara's struggle to crawl out of her dark childhood, was matched by Mitch's strength to pull her into the light of his"reality." I enjoyed reading this story. It kept me hoping for Mara, and cheering on Mitch. I got both!

This was a great read while I was sick in bed. Enjoyed the characters. I want my own Mitch Lawson lol.
