I absolutely adore Kristen Ashley 's books, normally takes a couple of days to read. I enjoyed this book, but was rather long winded for me. However I am looking forward to more of her writing.

Benny and Frankie. This was worth finding and worth reading. I loved their relationship, their story. I also really loved the eclectic "family" the revolve around Benny and Frankie. Once Benny realizes that Frankie's the one for him, he doesn't let anything stop him from making Frankie believe it too. Their struggles, their love, their families: it's all about the Promise.

Unfortunately, I just never ended up connecting nor caring about these two characters nor their story. The only two highlights this book had for me was more of my beloved Luke Stark & more of Cal/Vi's story.

About the author

 Kristen Ashley grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
