It's great being back in Misted Pines even though I knew that something nefarious awaited...BUT that didn't stop me from diving right in! Nadia is clueless of the secluded cabin's history when she books it on a long term lease as a getaway in Misted Pines. A getaway from things she'd rather not dwell on, but does. Trying to come to terms with the hand she's been dealt, she is less than enamoured by her new neighbour. She has the opportunity to share some insights with the, as yet unknown, intruder to her peace...and she does! Game On...!!! As you would expect from any KA novel, Nadia and the 'unkown intruder' don't remain strangers for long. Doc Riggs (Riggs) works and plays hard! These characters, their personalities and their humour develop very quickly. It's not long before you 'know' Riggs, Nadia and Ledger and begin to love them. With this series especially, you anticipate intrigue, mystery and even some skulduggery...you won't be disappointed! The unweaving of the mastery used in the production of such an amazing addition to this series will have you on the edge of your chair. Also, not unexpectedly, we get a strong independent woman and an alpha male with whom she butts heads. Nothing new there, but absolutely what we love as KA readers! IMO the best thing about any KA novel is the amazing characters she writes. It's them that makes each and every journey so worthwhile. With that said, be on the lookout for the latest additions to the Misted Pines family, especially Ledger!

Kristen Ashley, an epic alpha hero, a more epic sassy heroine to tame him and an unforgettable cast of secondary characters. You cannot have a better recipe for a bestseller or a top read. The author has delivered another page turner in her inimitable style and this time it comes with the chills and thrills of romantic suspense. Misted Pines with its forest and lake and small town beauty is a perfect set up for Riggs and Nadia's love story. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily
