This book definitely wasn't for me. It was sadly geared to promote and support the ideas of certain behaviors and private personal choice . Slaves even if they think they have power and are allowed to beg and serve, still have no free will.A Slave by definition is at a masters whim .I've read this author before and but this writing was much more graphic. This 1st chapter promoting acts of a dominant sadistic and the abuse for fun and gain was enough? I've read read and heard of what inmates and hostages had to do to survive in prisons and captivity. Recovery groups are full of survivors that have to deal with periods in their lives .I this was a book promoting an agenda . I would say triggers, but this 1st chapter was more than that . There was glee and a deman for acceptance to the abuse.

I'm an so enthralled with this series. Each book just pulls me into this world deeper and I never want to leave. This book focus's on Eira, the vampire we met in the last book, who I completely adore. She's bad a$$ with a wicked sense of humor, and her mate who she thought died thousands of years ago Killian. I found Killian very charming and sexy. He can keep up with the vampires and other creatures when he doesn't have super strength. He is an Elvin so he does have some perks. Both him and Eira thought each other was dead so its a big shock when they meet up again. I love how they still love each other so deeply and our still bonded so close after all this time. This book had a lot of action and was focusing on bringing characters together and meeting some of the other players. I loved actually meeting Jared and Alek. They have been mentioned in previous books but we haven't actually met them until this book. I am super excited to find out more about each of them. Also this sets up for the next novel with Charlie and the super alpha werewolf brothers. There was a lot of heartache and sadness in this but also love and hope. I was given an ARC by the author for an honest review In this book we see Eira fighting her way to save the Manson pack and trying to avoid accepting her position as Protectorn in the Sanctuary. After centuries of being alone and her heart bleeding Eira stubles into her long lost love Killian. The Last time Killian saw Eira was when his blade pierced her heart.Now after centuries the only thing that is left is killings and distruction until he finds her wounded and almost dead in his barn. As always the plot was amazing and i was so glad to see previous characters growing and evolving as much as new ones. The books was filled with action and beautifully written sex scenes and lots of moments where i laughed. Enjoyable and quick paced it didn't made me bore and i couldn't let it down until the last page. The only thing i didn't like was the ending where i found it abrupt and leaving me with many questions and unsolved issues.
